Launch / Collimate

From signed contract to sub-merchants signing in.

A launch takes days, not weeks. Your team brings the contract, Adyen credentials, brand assets and policy choices. Collimate sets up your tenant, branding and sign-in, then validates everything with you in sandbox. Adyen keeps processing, verification decisions and the money.

Note: branding and configuration run while your team connects Adyen. Sandbox testing is the step that needs both teams at once. Step durations follow once measured on first launches.

02 / Step by step

What happens at each step, and who does it.

Each step: what happens and who owns it. Durations follow once measured on first launches.

  1. 01

    Kick-off

    You + Collimate

Contract signed. You share your domain, brand assets and sandbox access; we create your tenant and invite your first admin.

  2. 02

    Connect your balance platform

    You

Your admin enters your Adyen credentials in the admin panel. Test and live stay separate, and Collimate cannot read them back.

  3. 03

    Brand and configure

    You + Collimate

We apply your logo, colours and portal name. You choose which sections sub-merchants see and any onboarding restrictions.

  4. 04

Import your portfolioIf already on Adyen

    Collimate

Collimate reads your existing account holders from Adyen. Nothing is re-entered by hand.

  5. 05

    Test in sandbox

    You + Collimate

Invite a test sub-merchant, complete onboarding and watch verification statuses come back from Adyen.

  6. 06

    Go live

    You + Collimate

Switch to live credentials. Branding, configuration and your admin team carry over.

  7. 07

    Invite sub-merchants in waves

    You

Your team invites sub-merchants and helps anyone who gets stuck. Adyen makes every verification decision.

03 / What we need from you

A short checklist before kick-off.

With your inputs prepared, the launch can move without unnecessary back-and-forth.

  • Adyen credentials

Credentials for your balance platform, entered by your admin in the admin panel.

  • Brand assets

Your logo, colours and visual identity.

  • Subdomain

The address where your sub-merchants will access the portal.

  • Admin users

The people who need access to manage your platform.

  • Adyen capabilities

Confirm the capabilities and permissions available on your platform.

  • Sandbox + test

A sandbox account and test sub-merchants for the pre-launch checks.

04 / Already live on Adyen

Moving sub-merchants you already have.

For platforms already on Adyen, Collimate reads your existing structure instead of recreating it. Migration is about giving sub-merchants a new interface, not repeating onboarding.

Same sub-merchants. New interface.

  1. 01

    Import

Connect the existing portfolio. Sub-merchant records stay with Adyen; no repeat onboarding.

  2. 02

    Waves

Group sub-merchants into batches and start with a small first wave.

  3. 03

    Migration support

Review your current setup and coordinate the move with the launch team.

05 / After go-live

What happens once you are live.

Your team runs the platform day to day. Collimate handles the portal’s releases, support and ongoing care.

  • Product updates

    Releases

One codebase across platforms. New capabilities and fixes reach your portal without a separate project.

  • Ongoing

    Support

Support and operational care for the Collimate portal. Your team keeps the sub-merchant relationship.

  • Every quarter

    Quarterly review

A regular conversation about adoption, priorities and what your platform needs next.

Questions

Who holds our Adyen credentials?

Your first administrator enters them in the admin panel. They go straight to secure storage, and the Collimate team has no way to read them back. Test and production credentials stay separate.

Can sub-merchants sign in on our own domain?

That is the plan: you point your domain at Collimate and sub-merchants sign in under your brand. At launch, the portal runs on a Collimate subdomain while custom domains are finalised.

Do we need to design an onboarding flow?

No. Onboarding follows Adyen’s own model, inside your branded portal. You choose restrictions such as excluded entity types; Adyen makes every verification decision.

What does our team do after go-live?

Invite sub-merchants, track their verification and help anyone who gets stuck. Collimate handles releases, support and escalations.

Next step

Bring every sub-merchant into focus.

We are taking on a small number of design partners: platforms on Adyen for Platforms who want a say in what gets built, direct access to the team building it, and early pricing.
