Privacy Policy
Collimate is a product of KindGeek OÜ (“we”, “our”, “us”), which operates this website. We respect your privacy and recognise the importance of protecting it. This Privacy Policy describes what personal data this website collects, how and for what purposes we process it, and what rights you have over your personal information.
The controller for the personal data described here is KindGeek OÜ, Jõe tn 3-314, 10151 Tallinn, Estonia, registry code 14219481.
Data we collect
Personal information
We collect personal information when you submit the contact form: your name, work email, company, whether you use Adyen for Platforms, and your message. If you tick the box to receive product updates, we also record your email address and the fact that you agreed.
If you book a call, you do so on a Google Calendar booking page, where you give your name, email address and the meeting time.
Where a field is marked optional, you do not have to fill it in.
This site is for business audiences, but that is not an exemption: the business contact details of an individual are personal data under the GDPR, and we treat them as such.
Usage data
Our server records each request it receives: your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, the referring page and a timestamp.
If you accept analytics cookies, Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics also collect information about how you use the site: the pages you visit, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, your device and browser type, and your approximate location derived from your IP address. Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager, which we use to manage these tags, load only after you accept. Clarity masks anything you type into our contact form, so it is never recorded.
Cookies data
Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. You can also disable cookies in your browser, or choose to be notified each time a site tries to store one. The Cookie Policy lists every cookie we use.
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not track you across other sites, build advertising profiles, or buy data about you.
Use of data
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your enquiry and arrange calls you book;
- send product updates, only if you asked for them;
- understand how visitors use the website and where it is hard to use, only if you accepted analytics cookies;
- detect, prevent and address technical issues, abuse and security incidents;
- tell you about material changes to this Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy.
Lawful basis
- Answering your enquiry and arranging calls: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) (our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us).
- Security logging: Art. 6(1)(f). Our legitimate interest is keeping the site available and free of abuse.
- Analytics: Art. 6(1)(a) consent, given in the cookie banner, which Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive also requires before anything is stored on your device.
- Product updates: Art. 6(1)(a) consent, plus Art. 13 of the ePrivacy Directive as implemented locally.
You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
Data transfer
If you accept analytics cookies, usage data goes to Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft Clarity) and Google LLC (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager). Bookings go to Google through Google Calendar. Microsoft and Google are in the United States and are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing adequate protection.
We comply with the requirements of the GDPR whenever personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area.
Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. Apart from the providers named above, we disclose it only where we believe it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or legal process, to investigate or address possible policy violations, or to protect the rights, property and safety of others.
Data retention
We keep your personal information only for the time necessary to fulfil the purposes above and to comply with legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it if it is inaccurate, or to have it deleted. You can also restrict or object to how we use it, receive it in a portable form, and withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@colli-mate.com.
You can also complain to a supervisory authority. The competent authority for us is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon), www.aki.ee.
We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
